What Is an Energy Management System (EMS)?

An Energy Management System (EMS) provides data acquisition and monitoring for power infrastructure. The CloudNet Mini is the compact form of this role: a monitoring gateway for edge data centers and remote facilities where space is limited, delivering EMS-style visibility without a full-size rack appliance.

CloudNet Mini Overview

The CONLUXS CloudNet Mini Edge EMS Host is a compact, industrial-grade monitoring gateway for edge data centers and mission-critical remote facilities. Powered by an industrial ARM architecture with all signal ports protected against ESD, surge and EFT, it mounts on a standard 35mm DIN-rail and provides 4×RS485, 4×DI and 2×DO. A pre-installed Linux environment, built-in web management interface, SMS interaction, fire alarm system (FAS) integration and 2.5D machine room visualization make it a complete monitoring gateway in a small footprint.

Edge Data Acquisition and Monitoring

The CloudNet Mini collects equipment data through its 4×RS485 ports and 4×DI / 2×DO, covering key power assets at edge and remote facilities — BESS cabinets, battery racks, UPS units and local distribution panels. Data is accessible through the built-in web interface via IP address, with SMS-based interaction and FAS integration for alarm delivery. The integrated independent watchdog and industrial ARM core support continuous operation under demanding thermal and electrical conditions.

Compact EMS for Edge Facilities

For projects where a full-size EMS host is not required, the CloudNet Mini provides EMS and monitoring gateway functionality in a 35mm DIN-rail form factor. It connects battery and UPS assets to monitoring visibility (see Lithium Battery Pack, UPS Feeder Cabinet), and integrates with power distribution projects through Solutions. For larger monitoring requirements, the CloudNet EMS Host provides up to 10,000-point capacity in a 1U rack form factor.

Applications

Primary applications include edge data centers, remote facility monitoring, small BESS and PV sites, and projects requiring DIN-rail-mounted monitoring gateways with minimal footprint.
